There have been some significant challenges facing recyclable flexible packaging for food, powders, liquids and perishables, including maintaining appropriate oxygen barriers (for longevity and shelf life) and the process of collection and recycling. For a few years now, Favourite Packaging have been researching, developing and are now supplying printed recyclable pouches and rewind for food, powder, coffee, tea, liquids, berries, and other perishables.
The single material structure, a mono type of plastic deems the packaging to be 100% recyclable, while still maintaining the expected freshness and shelf longevity. Also equally important, the material looks as good (or better) with full colour digital and rotogravure printing (up to 10 colours) and all the expected types of gussets, bottoms, closures and sealing.
